Syed Ashraf, MD, FHM

Dr. Syed Ashraf is a board-certified internal medicine physician with nearly two decades of experience in both primary care and hospital-based medicine. As the Chief Medical Officer at CareLife in Fairfax, Virginia, Dr. Ashraf provides a comprehensive range of services, including annual physical exams, acne treatment, vaccinations, and management of chronic conditions.

Dr. Ashraf earned his medical degree from Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan. Over the years, he has developed expertise in medical leadership, healthcare quality improvement, and resident and student education, alongside his clinical work.

He has contributed to numerous leading academic journals and has received several prestigious honors throughout his career. Notable recognitions include the WV-ACP Conference Case Presentation First Place Award, the Alumni Scholar Award and Scholarship, and the Day of Pride Honoree, all at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut.

A fellow of the Society of Hospital Medicine and a member of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Ashraf is also a designated Civil Surgeon for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), performing immigration physicals as part of his practice.
