Dr. Ashraf is an American Board of Internal Medicine certified physician with nearly two decades of clinical experience in both primary-care and hospital-based medicine. He has extensive background in medical leadership, healthcare quality and utilization improvement measures, student and resident education and is published in academic journals. Throughout his medical career and education he has had several achievements and has been part of medical organizations that represent the highest levels of scientific integrity, including: Fellow, Society of Hospital Medicine; Member of the American College of Physicians and WV-ACP Conference Case Presentation First Place Award Recipient; “Alumni Scholar” Award and Scholarship, University of Connecticut; “Day of Pride” Honoree, University of Connecticut; Presidential Academic Fitness Award from President George H. W. Bush and graduated with "High Distinction" from Windsor High School in Connecticut.
Dr. Thomas is a Family Nurse Practitioner, certified in Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC. She has provided care in a walk in clinic for acute and primary care, treating chronic diseases and emergent medical needs. Her emphasis is on primary care and disease prevention for a highly diverse patient population. She earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from George Mason University in 2016. She believes the best healthcare delivery model includes a strong connection with each patient, active collaboration of care, and employing all healthcare providers to their full scope of practice. She was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, and moved to the U.S. after high school. Dr. Thomas started her nursing career while living in Florida. Her initial nursing experience was in a level one trauma hospital giving her excellent acute care experience. She then transitioned to becoming a labor and delivery nurse, which she found very rewarding. Her true passion is providing the finest possible patient focused care. Dr. Thomas demonstrates strong enthusiasm for the best evidence-based practice and leadership. Her enthusiasm for the best quality patient care has driven her continued education and thirst for knowledge.
Maleeha Latif is a veteran project manager with an impressive career that has centered around team leadership, project design and planning, as well as office administration. Ms. Latif holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Villanova University School of Law, and received a dual bachelor degree in Elementary Education and Psychology from Rhode Island College.
